Training now available from CCG Media!
Our big day is here – Chips Cheese Gravy Media is now ready to start offering professional media training on the Isle of Man.
Initially, we’re offering three set courses: one for local small businesses, one for prospective House of Keys candidates standing in the 2016 Isle of Man general election in September, and a social media course for Manx companies.
We’re offering all three at discounted prices to mark our launch and you can book online, paying by credit card or via Paypal.
What can our programmes offer you? Well…
Small business media training
Our small business course is aimed at sole traders, micro-businesses and very small companies on the Isle of Man. If you don’t have a marketing budget or money for advertising and you find spending on social media ads on platforms like Facebook and Twitter isn’t doing much for you, we can help.
Our three-hour seminars are held at 4pm on Monday afternoons at Coffee Exchange in Douglas and last three hours. In that time, we’ll explain how you can find newsworthy stories inside your business and how you can interest the local media in them. They’re plain, straight-talking sessions which will cost a fraction of what you’d have to spend asking a PR agency to issue press releases on your behalf. Why pay others when you can easily learn how to build a relationship with the press that’ll pay dividends in terms of brand awareness and reputation?
As a special launch offer, we’ll be offering places for £100 with a limit of six people per seminar. You can find out more and book your place here.
Election media training
For House of Keys candidates, we understand it can be a little intimidating dealing with the press – especially live interviews. If you’ve never faced a journalist’s questions before, we can show you how to present yourself well and avoid embarrassing “I don’t knows”, awkward silences or other pitfalls to make sure your campaign is as slick as it can be.
These sessions last three hours, and we’ll come to you for a one-on-one session that covers everything from preparation to interview technique and even ideas on how to get coverage for your campaign. Sitting MHKs will inevitably be in the news because they’re already creating it; either through government or through local issues. Don’t be left behind – make sure you’re getting your name and message out there, too.
These sessions are being offered at a discount to mark the launch of our training programmes – they cost £100, and you can discover how we can help you here.
Social media training
Finally, social media is one of the greatest ways a company can communicate – but there are legal, reputational and ethical risks associated with publishing online. Think of the firestorms of negative publicity that have been sparked by a single Tweet or thoughtless post.
It can be hard to know how to avoid some of the potential pitfalls online: but help is at hand. Our three-hour course comes to you at your premises and covers topics such as libel law, defamation, Contempt of Court, and damage mitigation if the worst should come to pass.
As part of our special launch deals, we’ll be offering these courses for only £100 per attendee, and you can find out more about what we can offer you and your staff here.
If there’s something in particular you’d like that we haven’t mentioned here, we can create bespoke training programmes to cover most aspects of the media, press and social media – feel free to get in touch with your enquiry and we’ll contact you to discuss your requirements as soon as we can.
We hope to hear from you soon!
